McCrory Opens North Carolina to New Exploration



Republican North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory signed on May 4 the Energy Modernization Act, ending a fracking moratorium imposed by the legislature in 2012 until new regulations are development. The law allows state regulators to issue permits for drilling without legislative approval no sooner than two months after the 120 plus regulations are finalized.
