NOAA Announces RESTORE Act Science Program Grant Award Winners

NOAA has announced that the NOAA RESTORE Act Science Program has completed its first funding competition and awarded $2.7 million to seven research teams led by the following entities: University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi, Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium, NatureServe, University of Miami, and University of Southern Mississippi.

The RESTORE Act of 2012 established the Science Program to support the long-term sustainability of the Gulf of Mexico’s ecosystem, fish stocks and habitat, and recreational, commercial, and charter fishing industry.
