Gulf Coast Restoration Council Seeks Comments on Draft Initial Priorities List

The Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council has announced that it is seeking public and tribal review and comments on the Council’s proposal to fund $140 million in restoration activities and to reserve ~$43.6 million to implement additional activities in the future (subject to further Council review).

In addition to 8 Gulf-wide projects, the draft Initial Funded Priorities List includes proposed activities in Texas (6 projects across 3 watersheds), Louisiana (7 projects across 1 watershed), Mississippi (5 projects across 1 watershed), Alabama (8 projects across 1 watershed), and Florida (11 projects across 4 watersheds).
