Consumer Energy Alliance Releases New Keystone XL Economic Impact Study

Consumer Energy Alliance (www.consumerenergyalliance.org) released a study today on the economic impacts of the Keystone pipeline in NE. It was conducted by Creighton University economist Dr. Ernie Goss on behalf of CEA, and it was delivered to the Governor today. Below are a couple of the key points and link to the study.
– Increasing the overall economic activity in Nebraska by $817.4 million for 2013 and 2014;
– Increasing the overall economic activity in Nebraska by $1.8 billion over 16 years;
– Creating 5,517 jobs per year in 2013 and 2014;
– Creating an average of 916 new jobs per year over 16 years;
– Generating direct and indirect labor income of $956 million over 16 years; and
– Generating more than $164.6 million in local and state tax revenues over 16 years.
