Kathleen van Keppel – Events and Special Projects
Kathleen joined HBW Resources in 2007 as a Research & Policy Associate and currently manages Events and Special Projects for multiple clients. She coordinates meeting planning and content, logistics, marketing, communications, strategic partnerships, sponsorship generation and outreach for various HBW clients. She also directs all efforts for Houston’s annual Energy Day Festival with over 70 exhibitors, 25,000 attendees, 120 community partners and sponsors, and a year-round academic program that awards more than 85 students and teachers with nearly $15,000 in prizes.
Since joining HBW Resources, Kathleen has assisted in several grassroots and grasstops advocacy campaigns including arctic resource development, unconventional/shale gas, oil shale, oil sands, offshore energy exploration, nuclear and wind development. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
