Julian Vulliez – Senior Advisor
Julian Vulliez serves as HBW’s Senior Advisor for corporate finance and capital markets matters where he provides clients with over 20 years of Wall Street and hedge fund business strategies in the areas of structured finance, joint ventures, real estate and direct investments in operating companies. Julian has been actively involved as a portfolio investor with major credit funds and Wall Street firms that include Bear Stearns & Co., as well as a lender through traditional banking and national financial platforms. He advises clients on credit policy, pricing, valuation, hedging, reporting and enterprise risk management. Julian’s area of focus has been in financial markets as well as capital-intensive industries that include energy and waste management.
Julian joined HBW Resources in 2015 during the Department of Interior’s implementation of new offshore bonding requirements for oil and gas operators. At the firm, Julian advises clients on various offshore regulations including bonding requirements, decommissioning plans and other compliance-related matters. Julian has both public and private company experience. He interned for the late Arlen Specter (R/D-PA) where he began his career in developing monetary policy and years later went on to present opinions in front of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York during the implementation of the Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility (TALF) that was part of the Target Asset Relief Program (TARP). He is actively involved with the capital markets, the rating agencies and the accounting boards FASB and AICPA. Julian holds a B.A. and B.S. from Columbia University, M.S. degrees from Boston University and New York University, certificates from Stanford University in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies and from Global Energy Safety Institute (GESI) on Off-Shore Drilling Safety.
