John Northington – Strategic Partner
John Northington is a seasoned energy industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in various aspects of energy and its related fields—most recently as the founder, president, and principal owner of the Washington, D.C.-based government relations firm Northington Strategy Group. John has served on the National Petroleum Council since 2002. John served at the Department of Interior as Senior Advisor to the Director of the Bureau of Land Management. John also served as Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management with energy policy responsibility for the former Minerals Management Service (now the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement) and the Bureau of Land Management. John began his government service at the Department of Energy, where he served as White House Liaison, Chief of Staff for the Office of Fossil Energy, and Senior Advisor for Oil and Natural Gas Policy.
